Camera+ is a neat photo app for iOS that gives you an excellent set of editing tools, that can give your photography the edge.
You can edit new photos, or anything in your Camera Roll. There are two workflows, Classic and Shoot & share. The first lets you take as many photos as you like and then edit and share them later, while Shoot & Share puts you straight into editing after every shot. You can set up Camera+ to share through
You can save any of your edited images to your Camera Roll if you want to use them with other apps like Instagram. The editing tools in Camera+ are much more complete and flexible than those of
The editing process in Camera+ is excellent. First you choose a type of exposure, either the original, or Clarity, Auto, Flash and more. These can really bring out the details of your images. Next you can make adjustments, turning the photo or flipping it. Then there's an excellent cropping tool, effects and borders. The effects are more flexible than instagram's as you can increase or decrease the intensity of any of them, giving you more subtlety. In the classic workflow, at this point you can choose to save or share your work.
In terms of usability, the only place Camera+ falls down is in its "Lightbox", where you keep work-in-process. To begin with, this feels a little slow, not very well explained. A 'first-time' tutorial would greatly improve this part of Camera+.
Camera+ is an excellent addition to iOS photo editing apps, and well worth getting if you're an avid iPhone photographer.
